Ready to send

The finished book exports in the formats agents, editors and ebook stores expect, straight from your chapters. Book parts get a page of their own in each.

The same chapters as a submission manuscript, a 6 × 9 paperback interior and an EPUB.

Standard manuscript format

A PDF set the way agents and editors expect: 12-point Courier Prime, double-spaced, a title page with your contact details and a rounded word count.

A paperback interior

A print-ready book PDF at 5 × 8, 5.5 × 8.5 or 6 × 9 inches, with mirrored margins, justified type, running heads and page numbers.

An EPUB that validates

EPUB 3 that passes the W3C’s epubcheck, with your own cover or a simple typographic one made for you.

HTML and Markdown

One HTML or Markdown file for the whole book, or a folder with a Markdown file for each chapter.

Bring your chapters in

Import Markdown or plain-text files. A single file is split into chapters at each heading.

Clean every time

Notes, story bible tracking and the takes you didn’t choose never end up in an export.

Your book is one file

Each book is a single .quill file, saved wherever you choose. Inside, it’s plain JSON with every chapter in Markdown, so your words are never locked in, with or without Quillier.

It saves as you type. A crash can’t leave half a file behind, and a backup copy is kept every ten minutes while you write.
